Shawntee Reed
Shawntee Reed is Talent Management and Diversity Manager of Sears Holdings Corporation. Ms. Reed manages the organization's strategic recruitment efforts for corporate MBA and Undergrad pipeline talent development programs. In addition to these responsibilities she manages the company Associate Networks and diversity initiatives including, targeted external diverse recruitment, management of diverse affiliations and partnerships, internal initiatives to develop female and diverse talent and the development of action plans relative to affirmative action.
Prior to joining Sears Holdings in 2009, Reed was Vice President, Corporate Talent Development Programs, at JPMorgan Chase in New York, NY. In this position, Reed was responsible for all corporate mid to entry-level talent acquisition of talent for Operations, Technology and Finance functions. Equally, responsible for the relationship management of diverse external programs across the company to include such relationships as: UNCF, INROADS, Prep for Prep, Emerging Leaders and POSSE to name a few. Her 9+ year career at JPMorgan Chase span across Operations Management, Project Management and Merger Integration as well as numerous functions within Human Resources.
As a result of Reed's passion and dedication to develop talent, she facilitates career and professional development workshops across several colleges and universities and has participated in Executives on Campus speaker series at Baruch College sharing career management best practices. She is noted for her program development efforts with diverse affinity networks, thus has been invited to participate on panels to share best practices for establishing and maintaining networks in corporations.
Reed holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication from University of Texas at Arlington. She recently served as an Administrative Vice President of Career Development for the Urban Financial Services Coalition (UFSC). UFSC volunteer efforts include: management of organizations annual career expo, career and personal development workshops, corporate sponsor fundraising and strategic placement of organization affiliates in corporate and government related organizations.
Reed is a Texas native whom has resided in several regional locations throughout the Midwest and east coast. She is an amateur photographer, enjoys reading, traveling and spending time with her family and friends.
