Dr. Miguel Corona is Founder of AdMentis Hispanic Talent Solutions, a Hispanic talent consultancy that specializes in helping organizations develop strategies to increase their recruitment and retainmentof Hispanic college graduates. Miguelalso publishes the blog Hispanic Talent Mem o, a communication platform which discusses Hispanic culture and experiences, and how they impact Hispanics in the workplace.
Dr. Miguel Corona is a first-generation American born in East Los Angeles, California. Hisnearly twenty years of professional experience spansboth private and public organizations.Prior to founding his company, he gained first-hand knowledge about Hispanic college studentsby managing the internship and cooperative education programs for The University of Texas at El Paso, one of largest Hispanic Serving Institutions in the United States. Miguelnextdirected the college relations and recruitment operations for Nestle USA where he was responsible for all MBA and undergraduate recruitment programs. Later, as the Director of Recruitment for Security Capital Group, he was responsible for developing and executing the organization's college recruitment and relations programs. Miguel then joined thecampus relations team at JobDirect.com, where he worked directly with college career centers to meet their information management needs.
Miguel earned a Masters of Arts degree from the University of Texas at El Paso in Organizational Behavior and a Doctorate of Management degree in Organizational Leadership from the University of Phoenix. His dissertation research examined the emotional intelligence and transformational leadership characteristics of Hispanic American professionals. His on-going research interests include the role of culture on Hispanic professionals in the workplace, the developmental and leadership experiences of Hispanic professionals, and the organizational experiences of recent Hispanic college graduates. His latest study onthe attributes of Hispanic leaders was recently published in the Business Journal of Hispanic Research.
Miguel's higher educationexperience has includednine years as a faculty member for severalonline universities teaching business courses at the graduate and undergraduate level. He currently lives in Cincinnati, Ohio where is avidly involved in several Hispanic professional and community organizations.
